APY is a government pension scheme for unorganized sector workers offering a guaranteed monthly pension of ₹1,000 to ₹5,000 after age 60.

How It Works

Choose pension amount: ₹1,000, ₹2,000, ₹3,000, ₹4,000, or ₹5,000/month. Monthly contribution depends on age at joining. After age 60, receive guaranteed pension for life. Spouse continues receiving pension after your death.

Contribution Examples

For ₹5,000/month pension: Join at 18 → ₹210/month. Join at 25 → ₹376/month. Join at 30 → ₹577/month. Join at 35 → ₹902/month. Earlier you join, lower the contribution.

Eligibility

Age: 18-40 years. Must have a savings bank account. Aadhaar and mobile number linked to bank account. Not an income tax payer (for government co-contribution benefit).
